Our day will start early afternoon, allowing you to catch a sunset hike at Sam’s Throne. A 37 North guide will hike with you to a breathtaking overlook to watch the picture perfect sunset. The 3 mile hike features a cave, springs, a bluff, and spectacular views. We'll return back to the campsite where you’ll be greeted by NWA space. They’ll guide your gaze through the night sky and answer all of your space related questions. You’ll look through NWA Space telescopes to view planets, galaxies, and stars. While you learn about space, a 37 North guide will prepare a fire to cook a delicious campfire dinner and s’mores for dessert.
1:15 PM: Arrive to Farmer's Park no later than this time
1:45 PM: Depart for Sam's Throne Trailhead
3:45 PM: Arrive at Sam's Throne Trailhead
4:00 PM: Begin sunset hike
6:00 PM: Arrive back to campsite for star viewing
7:00 PM: Dinner is served
8:15 PM: Depart for Springfield
10:15 PM: Arrive at Farmer's Park
