Floating the Upper Buffalo River is the ultimate Ozark adventure, offering stunning natural beauty and exhilarating water fun. Whether you're a beginner kayaker eager to paddle through one of the most iconic rivers in the region, or an experienced paddler seeking a great group to join, this trip is for you.
Lost Valley is a must-do hike at Buffalo National River. This is an easy to moderate hike with natural treasures scattered throughout. We’ll pass under groves of American beech trees, view an emerald-blue pool of water with a small waterfall, experience the 200-ft bluff shelter known as Cob Cave, and finally reach the cascading 53-ft waterfall known as Eden Falls. This trail is a 2.3mi out and back trail with a 250ft elevation gain and is rated as a moderately challenging trail for beginners. This trail often includes slippery spots and features stellar geological features, which make for some steep rock steps.
The journey is perfect for those who want to experience the serene, crystal-clear waters and breathtaking cliffs, making it a memorable and enjoyable outing. However, please note that 37 North Expeditions has certain age restrictions: children under 7 are not allowed on the water, and solo paddling is only permitted for children over 12.
